Why It’s Bad There is absolutely nothing good about this movie, the CGI is unbelievably bad and the dialogue and acting is nothing close to good. Granted some of the costuming in the movie was ok but other than that the movie is one of the worst movies ever.
Gymkata
Plot: A great champion gymnast named Johnathan Cabot lives in the treacherous country of Parmistan, this place happens to be a perfect place for a “star wars” site. In order for the U.S. government to obtain the property they must have Johnathan compete in a competition called the “Game”. Cabot must combine is midwest skills in the gym with the fighting tactics of the east to creat the Gymkata.
Why It’s Bad Besides the fact that movies title is Gymkata, the mere thought of gymnastics with karate just doesn’t fit, not to mention every time there is a fight the obstacles around Cabot are all perfect for gymnastics. The dialogue doesn’t really compliment the movie either, nor does the action or fighting scenes. Just an overall bad horrible movie.
xXx State Of The Union
Plot: The sequel to the original film XXX, Darius Stone is a new agent in the government program called XXX. Darius is picked by Agent Augustus Gibbons, Stone is an ex U.S. Navy Seal who is highly trained but in prison. They send Darius to Washington D.C. where he is tasked with the objective of stopping a rebel group of the American military threatening to over throw the U.S. government and assassinate the president.
Why It’s Bad Its your classic “sequel is never as good as the first…”. Lots of movies are like that but this movie is absolutely horrible, its surpasses terrible. Every action scene has perfect timing for him to kill impossible odds, not to mention everything is blown magnanimously out of proportion. The entire movie seems like it was made using a really bad production text book, overall the movie isn’t worth the time it takes to rent the DVD let alone sitting and watching it.
Ghost Rider
Plot: Based on the famous night riding character Marvel produced, stunt motorcycle specialist, Johnny Blaze (played by Nicholas Cage). Who promises his soul to the devil for his fathers health but Mephistopheles betrays him and his dad dies soon after. Johnny is tricked into becoming Ghost Rider but takes light of the situation in order to fight against chaotic and destructive Blackheart, the son of the devil incarnate.
Why It’s Bad The plot isn’t terrible, it originated from a Marvel comic book. The actors didn’t do to bad of a job either, the dialogue didn’t help it any though. The main problem was the film CGI was so incredibly terrible for how much hype the film received, and considering half the movie is CGI. The graphics alone killed the movie entirely and the dialogue just held it dropped it down even further.
Ultraviolet
Plot: In the late 21 century, a culture, a small but advanced culture has been infected with a vampire like disease, and now they’ve emerged out of the ground. The disease gives them increased speed and reflexes, unbelievable stamina and incredible intellect. Because of the normal humans fearing what they don’t understand and at the same time feeling threatened, they go to war. The rest of the human civilization becomes bent on destroying the vampire like hemophage.
Why It’s Bad The main actor isn’t so bad but the costume, the plot, the stunts, everything was bad. Just not a whole lot of positive happening with the film. Not a whole lot to say, the whole movie itself is atrocious. Just the costume directing itself didn’t make any sense with the tiny jackets and odd sunglasses, more thought needs to go into film production.
