Battle: Los Angeles Review
In the film the California city Los Angeles, and other cities around the world undergo a ferocious siege from and alien race. The planet is struck with meteors that are controlled for strategic attack while ground forces destroy all the people be on the shores of the local beaches. The film depicts the swift movement of US marine movements and the loyalty between soldiers, it is a great action movie all around.
Marine Staff Sergeant Nantz was almost out the door on retirement before the world was pulled into a massive with an alien race that has a tactic for shooting meteors at controlled speeds. Staff Sergeant Nantz reassigns himself to a platoon where his quickly flown to a Santa Monica marine operations base. Once on the ground they are led by 2nd Lt. Martinez who is tasked with civilian rescue at a police station behind alien territory.
The Bottom Line
The newest military depicting film, “Battle: Los Angeles” is a great action movie all around, with out lacking in plot or detail. The characters betray the realistic heroics of your every day marine in a combat situation. Overall the film easy earns a 8/10 for extraordinary plot and performance.
